how does one get into trainhopping in western europe? i've heard the safest place to do it (from a legal standpoint) was Russia, but i cant really book a flight atm.

This may only be an american problem, but I read that train car hopping is mostly dead. Heat cameras and post-9/11 security really killed it.

Train hopping is something you do a few times with your friends as a teenager, besides that it isn't worth it.
