Hi anons, I'm a eurofag currently trying to plan a trip over in the US. I want some adventure and will travel from place to place and would like to sleep outside most nights (some nights paid accommodation so I can shower, etc).
I have experience travelling in far off countries, sleeping outside in places I'm not necessarily supposed to be. I've always just used a sleeping bag, and don't intend to use a tent for this trip.
In your opinion, how doable is this in the US? Is staying outside cities a good idea and instead opt for less populated areas? Being an obvious foreigner, but white and from Europe, if I get "caught" do you think it'll be easy enough to just apologise and be on my way?
I'd really love some input on this because I really want to make this trip work but I gotta be honest and real about its feasibility. I've read blogs and articles online and would really welcome more input on this. Thanks!
