>>2681299your dislike of LED is somewhat unreasonable, you just need to know what to look for. I could recommend you a light with a very low moonlight mode and a bunch of configurable settings (via the anduril UI), but you don't seem to be the type to want that.
so instead I'll say Weltool M6-DR or M6-BL. I've looked it up and according to some forum post the incandescent mini maglite was about 5.3 lumen at maximum charge.
The aforementioned weltool lights are about $20, and are made for doctors to check patient's eyes. it just so happens that this gives them about the same lumen values as the OG mini maglite. (4.5 lumen for the DR, 6 for the BL, though due to the way perceived brightness behaves those values should all look pretty similar in practice) except their warm light is made via LED and has a much more even spread.
the BL comes with an additional interchangeable incandescent Xenon bulb that's brighter than the LED, but you don't really need that.
runs on 2 AAA batteries and lasts about 10 hours (at least with the led, i bet that xenon bulb cuts down on the runtime as LEDs are more efficient). also, I'm guessing that unlike maglites their circuitry should keep up their brightness level for the whole runtime, not get dimmer and dimmer as the battery voltage drops.
