This happened a week ago, but I'm still seething about it.

>have parents and a younger sister
parents always hard workers, made sure that my sister and I got into a private British school
>for after school activities, I eventually do "Duke of Edinburgh" and make it until I have a gold award
>everyone is proud of me
>be a year later
>am looking for job and see an open position in a US national park in New Mexico
>am qualified and even have extra skills
>contact them and get excited
they seem very interested in hiring me
>tell family
>mom and dad are over the moon
>my sister is quiet and sad about me leaving
>two days later, I stop hearing from the park
>two more days pass and I write an email asking if everything is OK
>get response
>"Dear so and so, after receiving some information on your person, we have decided that it would be in our best interest not to hire"

>am devastated
>family tries to cheer me up
>my sister seems very happy about the rejection
>I get mad at her and lash out
>she tells me "tO nOt YeLl At PeOpLe"
>I try to calm down until she lets slip that she had written the park as well
>turns out the bitch lied to them
told them I faked my qualifications and am not a dual citizen
>I have no words
>she then says quote for quote:
>"You should be thankful. New Mexico is a very dangerous place. I would know, I watched Breaking Bad."
