I did a quick dip in a river the other day, no training, kind of spur of the moment. It was snowing and the temperature was right around freezing, idk the water's temp. Was fun, would like to do it again. I understood that there may be adverse effects so while I was drying off I did a multiplication problem in my head to make sure I was thinking straight. I only forgot to carry a ten which is pretty par for the course for me. I went back to my car (probably 50 feet up, gentle incline) and got warmed up and drove home without problem. Then I looked up tips for next time.

Apparently you can fucking die? Like I get shock (at least I think I do) but I was perfectly fine. Then they say stuff like practice with warmer water and I was like I was fine? They say to never do it alone it's so dangerous. So I'm rethinking.
