This is why salaries are so shit now, because companies have to pay women to do nothing and have to give them the same salary as the men who are doing the work, so the men have to earn half what they deserve.
Also Iceland only has a population of about 370,000. About 25,000 women went on strike last year over equal pay. If you think about how many women are of working age, let's say 100,000, then 25% of women stopped working and absolutely nothing happened - all companies ran as usual, GDP didn't change. All they did was prove how they do nothing. They should be at home raising children.
