i tried infrared (picrel) before and the other day tried out some shutter drag pics. getting bored of shooting "normal" pics with my fuji but dont know what else to try out. any recommendations?

Am i the only one who doesn't gets the joy in shooting digital anymore ?!?!
I've been using digi & film for years. Especially digi when iam out photographing with a person
taking portraits and ig art shots and if the person is interesting enough i'll also take some film shots too.
But when iam alone, walking around, wanting to ask strangers for a street portrait or doing street photography it's always my film cameras.
Lately i tried to shoot more digital and either i don't really want to or i get home and get bored by the shots and don't want to edit and delete later..
What is the solution for this ?? Should i concentrate on one single lens, one theme or so ??

Film captures a moment in time and creates a physical object with that imprint on it. It becomes unique and rare. A moment in time, suspended in amber.

Whereas digital is never really real. It's ethereal, never tangible, it's an idea. Endlessly reproducible, 1s and 0s that represent a sampling of light that exists in the abstract forever.

It is simply a completely different metaphysical experience.

I have tried to like digital many times mainly for the instant gratification and cost,
But no matter what camera I use or what I take pictures of I just can't seem to enjoy digital.
The only thing I kind of like shooting is my GRD3, B&W only with high ISO.

I think they are simply different tools for different jobs. But there is no requirement you enjoy shooting digital if all you like is film and that works for you I don't see a reason to force it.

Ironically I can't tell if you're making fun of me. I believe the core of the idea, but the flowerly language is mostly just shitposting. I do actually think that film creating a unique representation of that moment, which is subject to being lost, damaged or destroyed is a core component of why film feels different than digital though

That's another part of the reason I like it. It's imperfect. Perfection is cheap now, but to develop my film and see streaks and mysterious artifacts and mistakes feels weirdly nice. Like real people and moments, it's messy and often not good and that is not lost in the process.

Not a lot, But I usually just carry that around for snapshitting.
There is some things that go on in the summer but I stay away from downtown mostly.

Try staging your own photos and playing with lighting. Maybe dovetail into a separate hobby like clay sculpting or making doll clothes.
