Is there a way to isolate light sources with different exposures in post?

Like sample a static scene in hdr on a tripod, then do it with a flash, and calculate the difference between flash vs no flash and only keep the flash lit bits by subtracting the ambient light somehow?

If you have a powerful enough flash you don't even need to do anything in post, just decrease the exposure so much that nothing shows up when using just ambient light and then increase the flash power to compensate.

flash or constant lighting?
I'm going to be shooting something in the vein of product photography and the more I think about it the more convenient constant lights seem to me, but that would mean picking up even more gear(but at least lighting a tabletop is cheaper than a whole portrait studio)

I'm a broke-ass bitch for a real camera that's worth a damn, so I have to use my phone.

I know phone pictures almost universally suck, especially with a mid-range phone like my Moto Z3 Play, but I have two of the camera mod attachments for it. I have the 360° camera and the Hasselblad True Zoom.

From what limited knowledge I have, Hasselblad cameras are supposed to be pretty good; does that extend to this one as well? Any tips for someone trying to git gud?

Here are some of the settings I can change. Some of them are pretty easy to figure out, but I'm not sure about others. I've tried playing with them, but my pictures usually ends up coming out dark or blurry.

The only one I'll usually mess around with is setting the focal point to be as close as possible for macro shots.

I think it's cool as well, which is why I'd like to be able to get the most it of it.

Macro shots like these are cool, but they're not particularly difficult.

Why just RAW or jpeg? Why not include the option for a processed image but in a lossless format like .png?

Turning the focus wheel on the lens until your object is in focus.
I'm curious to hear how you believe that would work with a Ricoh GR and that little looking glass.

It's not, it is in fact often used in broad daylight where you would otherwise need massive lights to be able to underexpose ambient.

one of those tradeoffs being it doesn't actually help counter sunlight like you're saying
overall flash output decreases as soon as you go over sync speed and basically becomes a constant light (higher shutter speeds capturing less flash as well now)
you will get higher flash performance at sync speed with a -1 ND, than you will at sync speed + 1EV with HSS
once you're at sync speed, the only way to get more flash performance is with more flash

I got recruited and started working for Fujifilm for a few months now. I absolutely know nothing about photography but now that I'm here I kinda want to start making it as a hobby.

Talked to my boss about getting freebies but unfortunately our products are very popular that you'll have to wait for almost a year to get one so I'm thinking of just buying a used one. Looking at an xt20+lens, I keep reading you can find one for 500-600, but everywhere I look they're selling for $800, I guess the used market has gone up?

Whats a good camera for beginners? I want to take pictures of nearby birds (but I cant go up close to them), and landscapes.

My smartphone works fine for the latter, but it cant take good picture of birds (or other animals) from the distance.
