>>4297357>I could probably overlook a lot if the prices weren't so high. That's understandable.
>How much did you pay for your lenses?I don't remember now, I could probably go dig it up, but I'd say the median price is probably around $400
>My SD10 always locks focus and accurately tooyeah, maybe I've just got a wonky copy
>Have you tried limiting the SD1 to the centre AF point?I'm not sure. I gave up and haven't looked at the autofocus options in a long time. I could dig into it though.
>You really only own Sigma bodies? For digital? Yes.
>How'd that happen?I've tried lots of different stuff. Fuji, Sony, Nikon, Canon. But at the end of the day I would always end up gravitating back to my Sigma's. The images look the best to me and it's drawbacks aren't really drawbacks as far as my shooting is concerned. I don't need a high burst speed, I don't need crazy ai, tracking, autofocus, I find the high ISO noise to be cool and I'm not interested in video. So I'd end up selling off the other gear and now I just shoot Sigma.
>One thing I was surprised by was how subdued the colours were. The raws are definitely pretty flat and de-saturated, but you can really spice them up in Sigma Photo Pro if you want. But as you go up in ISO they become more de-saturated and the camera can blow out reds/oranges very easily. As you can see if you peep that photo of the rose bush I posted earlier
>So does the blue channel of the 1.7x X3 Foveon look any different?I'm not sure what you're asking. You mean the 1.3x crop of the Quattro H? If so, I'm not sure I haven't gone out yet with it. Between work and the weather being grey and raining I haven't had the motivation. Hopefully next week the weather looks like it will be nicer and I'll get out.
