>>4305294first camera was a (pentax? kodak?) 300x600 camera. used a 3.5mm pin to serial cable to download the photos from and only had a capacity for about 5 images. it sucked. obviously.
next was a sony mavica with the 1.44mb floppy drive, was kinda cool, but still sucked and it drained batteries like a gameboy on a long road trip.
3rd shitty camera was my Canon Powershot A520. did my first photoshoot on that thing, took it to a heap of parties, but quickly realised how bad it actually was at most things. heaps of motion blur, weird exposure settings in low light. fine in good light, but kinda overall meh.
went out and bought a 450D not long after and thats what I could consider my first 'good' camera. slapped on an external flash and it became my party whore. in later years it turned into my go-to studio photoshoot camera while i got into medium format film/
not sure why zoomers want to go back to this look. you can easily get it with a modern camera by using low ISO, a huge flash and add a slow shutter speed to add some shitty blur (then add digital and colour noise in post), bonus is you get an image size larger than a postage stamp
