1. 90% of ACTUAL, REAL and good photographers dont even use (or need) AF. that shit is a marketing trick for general public and blue collar photographers who do sports, events and weddings.
2. MF sensors gather more light and contrast reproduction saturation and tonality reproduction of colors, blacks, whites is just THAT much better - see pic related for example (also lens performance adds to it too and lenses for MF cameras are better than anything for full frame, including your shitty zeiss, nikon, leica or whatever else)
3. my x1dll with a full set of XCD lenses (used) cost me only 9,5k (remember FULL set of XCD lenses) which is equal to some mid range full frame cameras from canon and sony with 3-4 good lenses thrown onto them. youll spend 10k no matter how you look at it. a good FF lens will cost you upwards of 1,3k and buying FF lenses or cameras used is not worth messing with, because FF gear that is priced decently is always beat up and cameras always have trillions of shots taken. so might as well get a used medium format camera, will cost you the same as a brand new cameras and lenses from sony, canon or nikon.
