Just checking online, a 1/2.5'' sensor is a 6x crop, making a 1/2.7'' (which your camera uses) have a crop factor of ~6.5x, maybe . So roughly speaking the 3.6mm focal length is roughly 23.5mm in full frame equivalent.
If you want a more narrow view, look at the size of the sensor in the camera you are going to get and use that to find the crop factor (you can probably check online, or calculate it off the other ratios), then multiply the focal length of the lens by the crop factor to get the full frame equivalent, what you are looking for is something higher than 24, maybe 28 at minimum.
You can look online to show comparisons between how wide different focal lengths look so you can determine before hand what kind of field of view you want.
