>>4289313It can only be better than FF in readout speed, nothing more, because there is less sensor to read out, so it's a fools errand to ditch IQ - where readout speed matters (more serious videography, sports/bird snapping), IQ needs to be sufficient, hence big panaglass, the big9ii, and olympus just rebranding FF glass that nobody wanted originally because it was soft on the edges (that get cropped out)

theoretically global shutter m43 could out-speed the a9iii. theoretically. i think this entire system will stagnate and die, relegated to drones and phones where "real specs" no longer matter because consoomers are perfectly happy with copeutational copetography as long as it looks "vibrant" on their iphone, and real photographers are overly discerning and don't share hobbyists whiny-sounding concerns
