I'm going to Japan in 2 months and would like to get a new camera before I go. I currently use an EOS 60D - pic related - but I'm really feeling its age; it frequently struggles to focus, takes a long time to focus, and many shots I take with a high focal length end up being dark, grainy and blurry. I've also found it inconvenient to carry around and use if I'm just walking around a city and not specifically going sightseeing.
I think a mirrorless would be ideal for my purposes however I don't really know what to go for. A friend suggested a Fujifilm X-S10 but it would feel quite bad switching manufacturers because I already have two lenses for my current setup. I've also considered getting a decent (film) point and shoot in addition to my DSLR/Mirrorless but I wouldn't want to split my budget between the two. The P&S would be for carrying around in a pocket while the mirrorless would be specifically for sightseeing purposes or when traveling in a car.
Budget is around $1200 and I'd just use my current lenses.
