Screens are interchangeable - you can find them on eBay if you look.

The AF sensor is in the base of the mirrorbox under the mirror (I think). It does nothing to the AF beyond making it easier to override it manually when the AF can't see a good vertical line of contrast.

Probably technically not a good photo.

I got great mileage out of a 28-80 while on a recent trip - hence why I picked this range. That and the 24-105 wasn't on special so it was at full price.

It's weird how much of a difference the sensor makes.
