I guess the jap ad companies didn’t need monorails for all their work, the 120 was good enough. It’s a fun camera, it was crazy expensive when it came out and the build quality shows. It gets a lot of shit here from onions because it’s large, heavy and awkward to use, but it’s relatively cheap, idiot-proof, the lenses are a work of art, you can turn it into 645, 6x6, 6x7, nobody knows it exists so it’s always a conversation starter. But it’s not something you throw into a bag and carry around, you have to purposefully go out to take pictures, which, for me, is great- I already took the fucker wih me so i *need* to make some photos. Even if they’re boring snapshits.
