This camera was advertised for planet photography, and as far as i can tell, it does that quite well.
I just wanted to see if i can use it for deep sky. Some guy on youtube made some really nice deep sky photos with it, but ofcourse he had a motorised mount and propper polar alignement, and tracking, which i don't have for now.
About the weird pixelation. After some experimenting i found that it only happenes whent the sensor doesn't get enough light, so longer exposures should take care of that problem. The only problem i have now is the narrow field of view. I'm thinking of ways to fix that. Perhaps i could use a fisheye lens (the camera came with one), but that would need some kind of adaptor.
My als thought is this: why is there a difference in that weird pixelation between deepsky and panet imiging mode?
For reference, pic rel is a dark frame of deepsky imageing, and i'll post a planetary mode picture of the same nebula as above.
