sony is the best for photography and resolution, canon is the best for video and speed, nikon is the best for kist being a nikon user or cheaping out and buying a z5 or OG z7 because you are antsy about old sony weather sealing
if you buy an a7r version, especially iv|v|cr, the camera has a great aps-c crop mode
24 is not wide enough and is the same focal length as an iphone
>>4230913i had a pentax k1 before this that took a dark frame after any exposure longer than a few seconds or required manual hot pixel removal, like most cameras. i like sony's much faster but star eating method, even though it should have been in jpeg on principle (maybe there's a technical reason it couldn't), and agree that if you're taking astrophotography seriously enough to encounter this issue and have the budget for sony ff, you should be using equipment actually made for astronomy since it will get better results for less $$$ than everything else anyways.
