I have my entire life's photographic output backedup to two hard drives that cost $150 each, digital file space is the most trivial consumable to worry about.
My total digital assets for this frame are probably like 300mb including the raw, the edits and duplication as backups, that costs me literally less than one cent. And of course I still have the frame should I wash to rescan it later with better equipment :^)
If every adjacent pixel is a different colour than you're still getting something out of it, that's what the "tonality" is that people fawn about in mf.
Scanning at higher actual resolution reduces the appearance of grain.
Also yes I printed this at 12x24 at 300dpi, it looks pretty fucking good for a 20x enlargement of 15 year expired colour neg.
