This photo by Julius Shulman. He was THE eminent architectural photographer during the boom of US modernism in the 1950s. This is one of his most famous images, a photo of the Stahl House, designed by architect Pierre Koenig. The house was part of the Case Study House program, which sought out solutions for inexpensive but efficient housing in the post war boom. This image, not a glass and steel house overlooking Los Angeles, was a vision of the future for America. There's a great documentary about Shulman called Visual Acoustics, definitely worth a watch.
