My flashes don't always fire properly with certain cameras, what can it be?
Picrel are cameras and flashes I use
Cameras:
>Pentax K1000
>Canon FT QL
>Rollei 35
>Mamiya RB67 Pro S
Flashes:
>Nikon Speedlight SB-22
Always works with the Pentax (through pc-pc cable or hotshoe), the Canon FT QL (through pc-pc cable) and Rollei 35 (hotshoe)
It's my most reliable flash
Mamiya fires it haphazardly: sometimes it fires, sometimes it doesn't (using pc-pc cable)
>Konica FlashCube adapter
For whatever fucking reason it doesn't work with the Rollei 35 eventhough it has a hotshoe *and* a built-in pc cable
Always fires with both the Canon FT QL (cable) and the Pentax K1000 (cable and hotshoe)
Mamiya tends to fire it but I have to press the shooting button to the max, I don't even know if it desyncs because of it – especially at fast speeds like 1/400" (and yes, I know I have to flip the flash switch from X to M when shooting with the cubes)
I just wanted to understand what can be wrong with it all
The pc-pc cable is good and always fires with the Pentax / Canon FT, the flashcubes always fire with those cameras (through hotshoe or cable)
Is there something I'm doing wrong with the Mamiya?
And why the fuck can't I use flashcubes with Rollei 35?
