I'm a relatively new videographer. I have a prospective client who wants me to make one or two videos a week. The videos will be as short as 30 seconds and as long as 3 minutes, with the average video being about 1.5-2 minutes. I'll be using my own gear, and I'll charge the client extra for any additional expenses that videos require. I might drive 2-3 hours a week for this.
The person who referred me to this client told the client that I was a tech wizard. The prospective client asked me if I would feel comfortable running his two wordpress-based websites and their social media pages. I would be updating the site and social media pages with my videos, and with job site photos taken by the crew. I enjoy the prospect of this gig because I would be able to ensure the videos are uploaded and presented properly. I had some clients in the past who were so goddamn stupid that they butchered the delivery of my content.
I see myself allocating 10-20 hours (15 average) a week to this client to meet his needs. What would you charge for this service, and where are you (roughly) located? I need to figure out what my rate will be. Keep in mind that I'll be saving him $2k a month in web hosting and tech support fees alone.
