If you haven't done this at least once, you're not a real photographer. Every dollar saved on gear is a dollar you can spend on travel which is what actually improves your work.
As a bonus you engage in rebellious, corporation/government scorning activities which adds +1848 to your "real artist" score. Just never do this to third party sellers because those are real people.
