Every city has a community of artists and photographers who would be happy to get to know you if you can suck up the courage to introduce yourself. And if you can't find a community of artists then there's always bird nerds.

Art shouldn't be something that you do for attention. It should be something you do as a method of self expression. The activity is the joy.
