>>2575754It's so obviously true. The best photographers in the world choose their gear because it gets the job done. Not because of DxO scores, MTF charts, and a FroKnows recommendation. And I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it until hopefully even 5% of /p/ hears me; for almost every aspect of photography, if you have a good subject, in good light, and a good eye with good timing, it doesn't matter whether you're shooting a Rebel Xt, a D810, or a Deardorf 8x10, your photo is going to be great.
your gear will not limit you for almost all of the photography in the world. Yeah, you need a great AF system for sports, and a good sensor for shooting in dim light. But other than that, you're compensating for lack of skill with your wallet.
