>>2575894Different lenses for Different mounts (unless you adapt one lens from one mount to the mount of your camera).
Just get the Kit Lens with it (18-55 f3.5-5.6 that is usually sold with the camera if you buy it new) to start off, you can learn about everything else as you go. It's more important to just get you shooting.
Tripods (& Tripod Heads) are very specific to video use. There are a few recommendations in the OP as well for this (particularly since you're starting out I wouldn't recommend spending more than $200 on a tripod/head combo). Otherwise, weight differences (you'd use a different tripod for a camera that weighs 20lbs than you would for one that weighs 2lbs).
>>2575910That was pretty great (reminds me of George Carlin's joke about Men being better at Suicide ["there's always something"]).
The only thing I'd say that distracted me a bit is the transition at about 2:53 (I'm not a fan of that - I'd maybe take the more Monty Python route of things and try title cards [or a part I & II type of thing]), & the sound could use a bit of work. The flickering is there, but I'm not sure what exactly it's a product of (the light source, or camera judder).
These are all pretty minor things though - on the whole you've got a solid short.
Great work Anon (you got a laugh out of me, - I'd enter this into a festival or two if you can!).
