>>2565220Your images have to be slightly different, even a pixel of movement is enough. Simply touching the film holder will make a difference large enough for this to work. Even if you put your camera on a tripod, the mirror slap (mirrorless BTFO) will cause a slight shift which is surely more than 1 pixel. Note that this technique has its limits, it's not worth scanning more than 16-20 times and usually 8 will already be enough, better one scan too many than one too few though.
>>2565219It's worth doing some extra research after you've tried it with photoshop, there are some pretty good algorithms out there that do an even better job, you can expect about 3200dpi with a decent flatbed scanner, I've heard about someone who used an outdated 6400dpi Epson scanner and got his results to match a Plustek 8200i. I'm not sure how this will work with DSLR scanning yet, I'll see how it handles focus bracketing and such.
