Now I know there will be a cascade of rageposting after this but the fact is, if you haven't developed a marketable skill by your mid 30s you are in for a hell of a ride. Life is going to shit on you hardcore. Computer sciences isn't a marketable skill any script kiddie on /g/ can do most of that shit and the STEM field is mostly saturated.
In the real world and most of the service industry in America you are a number and can be replaced at any time, even I can be replaced. In my industry though, it's a lot harder to replace someone with a perfect safety record and perfect delivery because we have a lot of fuck ups getting into my field and if you don't believe me go have a look over on the Twisted Truckers page on Facebook
There's ton of skilled trades out there that let you sleep in your own bed every night, I just found one that works for me and I absolutely love doing.
