I shoot a lot of film and I have ever had a roll fail or degrade on me. I mean I've literally never come across a circumstance where a shot was lost or suffered due to the films age or storage.
When it happens it must be because of intense abuse, extreme temperature variance, decades off it's expiry date etc.
Most film failures are down to user error. People generally don't know how to shoot film rather then use broken film. Especially millennials who understand film only through the concept of lomography and as an forefather of shitty digital photo filters.
Generally I use film due to it's inherent reliability and ease of use. I find a film workflow far easier to execute and manage than a digital one.
I would also suggest using Fuji Superia Xtra or Kodak Gold over Color Plus. They can bought just as cheap are I feel they look better. There are also lots of generic films made by Fuji and Kodak. Maybe there are only available here in Asia, but I see stacks of green and white fuji film at my local lab/darkroom/studio which I suspect is just Superia without the branding and probably less quality control. The results they get from it is great.
