is the rx-100 MK1 still a decent camera to get? it's going for around $400AUD which is more than half of what the MK3 is going for.

what are the key differences between the MK1,2 and 3 and is it worth being cheap and getting the MK1.

it's going to be for my mother who also likes to use a camcorder (which I'm trying to get her to upgrade from because its not HD)plus her P+S came is a crappy one from years ago where phones take better pics these days
