it's all about size and how a file can be used. there always will be a format war, crop vs full frame vs medium vs 8x10..
you're able to take nice pictures with a smartphone rn, it'll look good if you have something good to take a photo from. But if you want it to get framed, exposed, curated, you'd need a better sensor, a better resolution, Colors, etc..
There's a HUGE mobile photographers community here where I live. Most of them have their own DSLR full frames and even GFX and Pentax 645, but they use their phone to another stuffs. Real life street photography, passing as a ghost, as an example, or extreme awkward compositions. More conceptual I guess. And it's exposed on art galleries, coffee shops and etc. So, they found where to sell and expose they phone art in good quality
about size? man, the biggest I have seen was about 15cmx21cm and the pixels where all mixed!!! So it was no good at all, but when I saw the same picture in 5x7cm it was a nice photo.
