I need your help /p/

Hopefully this thread can help others as well but here it goes. I’ve got a canon p rangefinder and two cheap lenses. I’ve adjusted the infinity focus of the camera with the industar looking at the moon and tested close focusing against near objects and looks like it checks out.

Now here comes the problem. When I switch over to the Jupiter 8, when focusing on the moon, the lens reads 3meters away on its markings. The lens even lets me turn it way past the focus of the moon. Just be sure I didn’t mess things up I realigned the rangefinder patch to that lens and switched back to the industar and everything was off again. Is this just a side affect of using soviet lenses on the canon p or do I have to adjust the rangefinder patch each time I use a different lens? How can I be sure that the lens is actually in focus?
