Is white balance even real? Analog film has basically no white balance. Human vision deals with white balance by basically adapting to the average it's been exposed to for a while. And if you look at a photo the appearance of the white balance depends on the viewing environment. I'm beginning to think it's all bullshit. Maybe we should all just record the average ambient light along with every photo and then adjust the ambient lighting of the gallery to that.
