Fortunately street people around my usual spot aren't usually dangerous/inherently evil, so I end up being on friendly-nod-as-you-pass, or occasional light conversation, terms with them.
I generally don't shoot them unless they ask me to, or they do actually have an aesthetic other than homeless.
