Thats right, every youtuber and wagie involved is paid by sony to say their stuff is better. This was just sitting on top of the bestbuy camera shelf.
You snoy boys got duped by reviewers who "switched" not organically but because sony sent them free gear and/or a check. Or the wagie you interacted with is getting kick backs for every sony camera he sells.

Except for pentax. Pentax users do it FOR FREE. Independent non- pentaxian reviews always point out flaws and modest specs. Pentaxians? The k-1 has 20 stops of dynamic range and the 70-210 and 24-70 are razor sharp!!!!!

China isn't communist, and I don't believe the working conditions are quite that bad any more. I doubt they're great though.

sony does have the best employee purchasing program though, and it led to like 2/3 of my old co-workers using sony (~10 years of camera retail)
they also had the best commission on camera sales, but every brand had incentives for salespeople
they also, at least in my region, did the most branded events with local shops (basically sony rep visits with ALL the gear)
i remember in the a900 days when even my sony rep would joke about their position in the market, but look at them now

They are pretty pricey though, so I see a lot of people sticking with DSLRs and even buying DSLRs as their first real cameras to save a grand here and there since the last gen of DSLRs before mirrorless hit mostly gives you image quality between the A7III and A7RIII, with the D850 being very close to the A7RIV.
