>>4161689I think it's actually because everyone else treats crop sensors like "beginner cameras" that you're meant to move on from, or crops the sensor to the point where IQ is noticeably degraded and starts throwing cope advantages the majority of normal people don't actually use in to compensate. No one else just wants to make a "normal" camera anymore, it's always super pro super specialized for some specific thing. But the sharpness, but the birding zooms, but the video is even more than you need, etc. Fuji is the only company with aps-c cameras and lenses that were clearly taken seriously and priced accordingly.
A6600 = $1400 new, most lenses are meant for FF, everything on it is quite shit and made to make you think "but it's not missing/much better on the A7-whatever, damn".
X-T4 = $1500 new, feature parity with full frame, superior in some more niche ways despite being a generation old now.
XS10 = $999 and still better than the a6600. As well as the Z50, and R& ,and R10....
Meanwhile full frame is suffering from severe bloat. Bloated lenses. Bloating bodies. Bloatint prices. What's the price on a sony FF up to now? There's really no escape, there's really no one making a good all in one normal camera for normal people instead of prosumer wankers, except for fuji.
And normal people who want normal cameras to come back is a bigger market than people like gxace who want to play dress up. Fuck, using a normal camera is already retro to them, most of them grew up using phones.
