What kind of lens is this capable?

Hello photoanons, I'm trying to figure out what kind of lens this channel uses: https://www.youtube.com/@WavyBoats

The cameraman is filming from a distance of about 200 feet away, what kind of lens can capture this level of detail and zoom rate from this distance?

I'm as new as someone can be with this stuff, so any tips or points to the right direction appreciated

What lens? Probably some stabilized 200-600 or in that range.

What about overheating issues with the Sony a6700? These guys film outdoors in the sun for hours on end, and I've read only the a6700 doesn't have the best cooling system. Advice? thx for the suggestion

Many cameras can do this. Your best bet for stabilization, affordability and reach is a Panasonic micro four thirds camera like a G9 and a lens in the 300mm range like the Panasonic 100-300. If you don't care so much about optical quality a Coolpix p1000 or similar superzoom bridge camera will get much more reach and can do video well.

Most cameras can do this. Your best bet for stabilization, affordability, and reach is a high resolution full frame mirrorless like a Sony A7R IV or an advanced APS-C camera like the a6700 or canon R7 and a lens in the 200+ range like the Sony 200-600 f5.6-6.3 G or a sigma 150-600 for canon EF (canon EF/RF does not have a good native, affordable zoom in this range).

If you don't care so much about optical quality a micro four thirds camera like a G9 and a panasonic zoom lens will get much more reach and can do video as well.

that camera cheats ISO by almost a full stop and has noise reduction baked in lol. it gets a bit soft with normal levels of NR.

good for snapshits. micro four thirds cameras are really set up with jpeg people in mind.

Cameras are not at all consistent for "ISO" anyway, not sure why it matters. Unless OP is shooting brick walls at night MFT should be fine.

Not for raws. Maybe for video, I'm not sure, but I doubt it'd matter at all for OP's purposes.
