Been fiddling around with a Minolta New MD 50mm F1.2 because i wanted to try something "exotic" only to realize that it is unusable and soft until F4, only properly sharp at F5.6, has lots of chromatic aberration and flares like nothing I've ever seen before even with the somewhat rare hood made specifically for it attached. My conclusion is that this thing is purely a collectors item, it has no place in the modern world.
So my question is what about the alternatives from makers such as Canon, Olympus, Nikon and Pentax? Are they equally as bad?
