Is it dangerous or anything? It has some yellow and black stripes that make me think it might be a type of hornet.

Here in New England the spotted lantern fly is harmful. We are asked to report sightings of egg masses on tree trunks. A team will come to eradicate them.

Spotted Lanternfly, kill them all immediately and if you find their nests kill them too.

I had to go through training at my company to find them and kill them if I see them in truck stops. Are you in PA?
