is Canon EOS C300 still decent today for filmmaking? will the resulting footage look like an actual film and not like shitty home video?
what budget lenses would you recommend?

If you already have one then yes, if not, then no it's not worth buying when you can get stuff like even a FX30, A6700, A7siii, FX3, Sigma FP (manual focus, SSD recording iirc), Panasonic S5ii x (also SSD recording?) (previous version for manual focus only).

There's a lot of inexpensive options that do 4k 4:2:2 10bit log and work very easily in Davinci Resolve. And plenty of inexpensive lenses as well, which is good as it leaves more room for lighting (I use an amaran 100x S and diy battery setup), sound, travel etc
