I think everbody fucked up the "super small mirrorless ILC" format.
These things should have been much smaller, they should have been size competitive with the very smallest of digitshit p&s cameras, with tiny little lenses so small that only slender-fingered woman hands can competently put them on the camera. They had the tech to do this in 2010.
Every influencer girl would have one now.

What happened to the nex series? They all became bloated as the numbers came in the thousands. My 5N is excellent with the 16mm lens.

Nikon 1 was really nice, small form factor. But the low light performance is not good, and the lens are kinda on the expensive side for what they are.
Camera bodies other than the J1 today are as expensive as more modern apcs dslrs that have affordable glass, and half the price of an Canon R100.

The cx legacy lives in the Nikon Z line tho, if you really liked the Nikon 1 line youll be happy there, youll find all the good stuff, and less of the bad, but the glass is still on the expensive side .

Us heebchads are still using 20mp FF DSLRs because if you don’t view on a phone everything beats a phone. Cattle on view on phones unless we tell them to buy a copy of vogue or watch the TV so they can’t tell.

Owned both.
Nikon V1 is the only good one.
j5 You're showing there had abysmal iso over 400.
M43rds is superior.
It had the 20mm f1.7 out of the bat and still is one of the best lenses for the system.
Still using my GF1.

There were some whispers shortly after they left that Samsung was forced to exit the camera market due to using the H.265 codec without a license (unlike H.264, 265 is proprietary) which violated the codec's patent. It's possible that they were actually BLACKLISTED from the camera industry because of this, which lead to them selling off their camera tech to Nikon

lmao no. Even if they used h265 without a license (no way they'd make that mistake), they'd only maybe have to pay a fine and subsequent fees.
H264 is also proprietary and patent-encumbered, not sure where you got the idea that it isn't.
Samsung exited because imagine buying a camera from the washing machine company. They just didn't have the brand power.

I don't think most people even know there's Samsung washing machines, just phones and TVs.

NX mount wasn't stillborn as much as it was slow. Samsung took too much time in planning out the system, not enough time in developing and releasing lenses
Their 300/2.8 would have saved the mount if they released it
