>>4242914I'm shooting with my good old friend a6300, mostly with the old manual Samyang 12mm f2, and the Sony 18-105 f4 G which I love a lot, and the Sony 35mm f1.8 for low light or if I need a fast aperture. I mostly shoot tourist snapshits and hiking snapshits. For both, I'm the only one that will ever see them so whatever. Plastib butts snapshits also. I use Lightroom, I'm about to switch to Capture One since it's faster.
a6300 (and NEX-6 before that) served me well, and since I'll be traveling to Japan again next month, I'll buy either an used A7C, or more likely, a new A7C-II while over there (language is a non-issue). I'll also buy FE lenses, though I'm not sure which ones yet. A natural replacement for my lenses combo would be the 24-105 F4 or the 20-70 F4, though they're not internal zooming lenses like the 18-105 APS-C. I'll probably go with a 3 primes combo instead, and the 28-60mm kit lens if I need some zooman versatility during the day. Should get the job done.
FE chads, tell me, is this a versatile enough kit?
- 28-60mm, it's cheap anyway so whatever, I'll get it. Will be useful when I'm skiing and won't care about breaking it.
- Loxia 21mm f2.8 (gotta get those kino 10 rays sunstars when hiking)
- Sony 40mm f2.5 G (either this one, or the Sigma 35mm f2.0, its rendering looks more pleasing and less clinical, but bigger) for city snapshitan
- Sigma 90mm f2.8 (or Samyang 75mm f1.8, less reach, no aperture ring, a tad bigger, but faster) for things that are far away.
Any opinions regarding the Sigma 900m vs the Samyang 75mm are welcome. Sony 85mm f1.8 is also an option, it's cheap and good enough, but a tad too bug for my taste.
Not sure if I can really live without a zoom like my current 18-105, but I think it's time I try a (mostly) full primes set.
