Now the camera is seen as portable scanner. It'll simply snap tons of pics, and eventually they'll render it in 3D and map it on vertices. The only thing that matters now are wide angle lens, megapixels and FPS (damn it smartphones). Instead of being photography it'll be known as photogrammetry, aka spamming pics and using the computer to make the photo.
