Couldn't find a fuji thread.

I am looking at X-mount lenses for some sports & nature photography and i keep getting funneled to referrals of the Fujifilm XF 50-140 f2.8.

This fuckin thing is 2 grand.

Am i getting b8ed in to the cycle of photography elitists embedding this idea that the absolute highest end lens is the only true option? I'm looking for considerations for anything that may not require me to sell an organ.
