I recently bought this photobook called Liquid Night from Bill Henson as I really enjoy this kind of style for 80’s street photography, heavy in neon signs and that method of colour rendering that’s quite specific to that era.
I’m going to post a couple of pics from it as I’d like to have /p’s input on what kind of technical methods were used to get those pics and specifically the colouring/ cinematic style. Apparently, it’s shot in 35mm colour negatives.
Also interested if any of you have recommendations of photographers or photobooks that have the same vibe or atmosphere. I guess Bruce Davidson’s Subway is close to it, and in films it would probably be The Warriors.
