Photo organization

What do you use for organizing your photo collection?
Is it a bad idea to use built-in Photos app in Mac? I tried Digikam but it felt a little too sluggish.

I have my RAWs on my NAS and keep them in Capture One. The images I like I export to JPG and put them into Apple Photos so I can share them to my family (mostly photos of my kid). The ones I upload to 4chink I export to an EXIF stripped folder (fsevent script that auto strips exif of any image that gets put ino the folder).
