>>4261706>Good zoom and PASM dial! No. Good PDAF tracking and noise performance. Use a 50mm prime if you dare. If your photo is out of focus it's worthless. If it's so soft from noise, it's worthless. If it's noisy why did you even use anything other than a phone? Waste of fuckin' time! By the time a full frame camera passes ISO 6400, an APS-C passes 3200, or an MFT passes 1600, it becomes difficult to justify using them over an iphone 14/15 pro max.
A phone hardly does the job but people excuse it because it is a phone - it's going to be noisy and smeared to fuck because of noise reduction, but it is a phone, so it's ok, at least it actually fits in a pocket. And at least things are in focus and noisy, not noisy and out of focus at the same time. And at higher ISO settings normal people think every photo looks like a phone photo.
Now if you have a crop sensor ILC that is struggling to lock focus onto literally anything and you've resorted to shooting bursts while bracketing with a manual focus ring and maybe getting 0-1 hits per 20 shots because you can't see if shit is sharp through an increasingly noisy and laggy EVF, just lol. Every shot comes out simultaneously noisy and out of focus. Shouldn't have brought a fuji or four thirds. This is why you still see so many old FF DSLRs in journalism. They are less noisy, and the dedicated AF sensors and OVFs more effective in genuinely low light while most MILCs would be borderline unusable.
