how do you choose edits? for instance, sometimes b&w looks as good as color, or i cant decide on emphasizing contrast or adjusting exposure over or under. i usually go back and forth until i'm right in the middle, but after playing with the image for long enough i cant decide on what i prefer. sometimes i reset it to unedited and come back some time later. is there a more objective way? in music, a song can sound different if you focus on the drums, or focus on the bass. it boils down to preference, but i wonder what others are aiming for in edits.
