>>4264220Not vip I was in group of of people that got invites for the BMW event, which was breakfast and early entrance + quick guided visit ( all the BMW selection which were absolute shit)
I didn't buy anything except for a photobook
>>70829427Also did the polycopies festival which is just photobooks from smaller publishing house, a stand is 500e for the 4-5 day event instead of the 5-10k minimum for paris photo
I realized I forgot to take some pics of the credits, probably because on the moment I was like "I'll never forget who that is"
The large format pics are not koudelka but some guy that does Atlantic ww2 fortifications, forgot the name, will check tomorrow.
Guy zarandt was a good discovery, his style is close to carrier bresson's. Probably came from the fact that he knew him and was his tour guide when bresson went to Hungary and they knew each other well. It was the first time his pics went public, his collection was private till his death.
Paola agostini was a good surprise as well.
It was alao good to see some prints of the grand classic like Leitner. A lot of the salon deserved to be more in FIAC than Paris photo.
Moriyama went down in my esteem with his Tokyo toilet stuff, just overly merchandised to me
Magnum's stand wasn't that great because they had all their events at their gallery on Saturday, I went there I saw presentations from depardon / d agata / mccurry/ kalvar / keo / boulos (shit). Saw gruyaert there also but he didn't present just showed slides of his morroco book. The exhibit was Alessandra sanguinetti pics of "some say ice" book which are very good. I missed swing some photographers like Bruce Gilden and Martin parr though ( wife was there and saw Guilden) also talked to Christina del middel on a stand whithout realizing that it was her at first (oops)
