I appreciate the kind words, and I'm also glad people called out the colors and compositions in a few photos. Hopefully the next thread will be even better, whenever that may be. >>4265004>>4265010>>4265069>>4266702I had a lot of trouble lining up that shot - no matter where I stood I couldn't get a clean shot of the river, so I settled on using the trees to give some foreground context. But I agree the shot would be best with an uninterrupted view of the river if possible. I posted it to see if it worked, and I'm glad it got some discussion. If anyone's planning a trip to Jasper, that shot was an easy walk up the road from the Kerkeslin campground - maybe you'll get the shot I couldn't find.
>>4266361Funny you say that, I went out that morning to catch the sunrise where Ansel Adams took his shot of the Snake River in front of the Tetons, but there were too many people around. I took a stroll alongside the cliffs to the south and found a great view of the fog. Anyway, I've got a few lifetimes of shooting to go before I take a shot of his caliber.
